Hello,

I recently put together an Ashida where I can play gamecube games no problem, but whenever I try to load wii games I get "Waiting for ES" from hiidra. Did I miss a setting when installing RV loader or priiloader?

I chose to not wire the audio board SCW & SDW as I was getting a lot of interference and it was just getting, so that is why it is not in the settings menu.

Hi!
Generally, this error could happen for multiple reasons:

- A bad USB wiring: check that the USB wires are tightly twisted and as short as possible. You should also avoid the USB wires to cross other wires to avoid any interference.
Could you maybe show your wiring?

- A bad USB drive: In that case, try check the connection between your PMS-PD3 and the other components of the portable. You can also try to clean the uSD slot. It could also be a faulty chip on the PMS-PD3 (GL823K), but I doubt it.

- A bad uSD card: maybe your card is faulty or corrupted. If nothing else worked, try to format it with a slow format, and reinstall everything.
What card are you using?

Hope this will be useful, have a nice day!

Xenni,

Thanks for all of your suggestions, I'm just glad to know what specific part was giving me an issue.

See attached pictures of the wiring. I'm still pretty new to soldering on all of the vias, so it could be that the USB is not wired that well. I especially hated soldering to the vias and opted for soldering directly to the chip for the audio just because it was easier to me.

Also see attached picture for the micro SD card. Is there any brand that is recommended? I'm pretty sure I saw a compatibility list with rvloader at some point, but I was just hoping the one I had lying around would work.

Thank you!

The uSD card should work.
Your wiring looks great, but if I remember correctly, you shouldn't twist the SCW and SDW wires.
I don't know if this could cause the issue, but you could try.

You could also try to rewire the USB by avoiding the AVE as shown:

This might help to avoid interferences between the USB and some other wires.

The pathway for the USB makes sense, I was just so focused on getting it shorter that I just ran it through all of the wires lol.

After I get back from work i'll try rewiring USB cable, do a full format of the micro SD card, and rewire the scw and sdw as a last resort.

Ok I figured it out. It was 100% just the micro sd card. I grabbed a 32gb i had and copied over 1 wii game and all of the rvlaoder stuff. booted the wii game just fine :/.

welp time to buy a new sd card lol.

Thank you for your help again Xenni

You’re welcome!
Have a nice day!
