STEP files are the easiest to modify as they are CAD compliant and not tesselated. They're larger than STL files sometimes, but they can be zipped

I'm using this shell, as well as bits of your worklog to piece together my own ps2 portable, and I notice this updated shell doesn't feature a power switch, or USB slot like your previous iteration did. I thought I'd discover why later on down the line, but I haven't ^.^'. Any insights would be super greatly appreciated, as I'm not nearly as knowledgeable at this point on PS2's as I'd like to be

I remember it having a usb slot I’ll have to check files when I get some time, it has a micro sd a lot on the bottom half as well.

As for the power button it got moved to this location here check photos.

I did a quick sanity check on both the STLs and STEP files , and sadly I do not see a USB or MicroSD slot in the model anywhere

Ahh, I see! I apologize, I didn't realize the "on/off" was a replacement for the rocker switch. Thank you for answering on such short notice!! I seriously appreciate it again.

Yea that’s weird you can always edit it and add what you need, I can’t remember why I didn’t add it in the end.
