Question RVL-PMS 2 question

So for my portable wii, I'm using the PMS-PD 1 and the RVL-PMS 2. My question is that since I need to hook up the pms-pd to the 5v rail on the new rvl-pms for it to work, does that mean that I can't use that same 5v rail to power anything else, for example a screen along with it. I've looked a little online and it seems like I can because it's kinda like parallel batteries where you can run two lines in parallel, but I just want to make sure. Thank you!

You can use the same rail for powering everything that takes 5v. The PD itself doesn't use very much current
