Solved problem with gc+ (gboy)

Hello, I recently started a Wii Gboy. I'm currently wiring/testing the controllers. There is a small problem with this one....
When I press a certain button, the joystick activates!?
Example: when I press button (A) both joysticks go down. There are lots of little bugs like this, could someone please help me?

My instinct says there must be a short circuit between the A button pad and the joystick down pads. Can you confirm this?

If that is the case, it is a matter of disconnecting wires until you find the source of the short. For example, if you completely isolate the GC+ board and the short is still there, then you know the GC+ board is the issue. It could be a faulty component, or something as simple as a piece of solder that somehow ended shorting it out.

Are the joysticks connected? The GC+ will spaz out if both joysticks aren't properly connected

I haven't received my joy con connectors yet so they are not connected.
