Question [Not modified yet] Wii not working Black screen

Here’s a Wii I will be using to make the G Boy Wii portable. I just bought this on eBay and the seller said that the system has a broken disc drive but works and boots into the menu.

But when I power it on it only shows a black screen. I tried using a different composite and component cable, I also tried different TVs they recognize the device when it’s powered on and off but no picture.

I messaged the seller and told him I might have to return it and he of course wouldn’t respond to me

Anybody know how to fix? Here’s a link to a video of the issue

Are you able to sync wiimotes to the Wii while it's on?

Also it's probably time to open it up and have a look at the board, see if there's any obvious damage

Yeah. I tried manually syncing using both Wii and the Wiimote but nothing works. I just keep getting those flashing lights on the bottom of the wiimote

Gotta crack it open and look inside then, might be some garbage causing a short inside
