Hey, I was just wondering if there's a 3D file that I could download and use, because I want to mod my 3DS with a custom aluminum frame and shell, but I don't have the scans. Is it possible to know where to obtain these files if they are available to the public?

Sorry for asking Mesk, but do you have a 3d model file that isn't .rar? I don't mind if you don't, but I would really like to know

It's very clear you don't really know what you are doing. RAR files are an archive, you unzip it to gain access to the files.

as a final note as mentioned in the initial post:

Install 7zip and use it to extract the archive. After that you are on your own for making the scans work for your application. I recommend learning to use Meshmixer or Blender to make direct mesh alterations, or import the meshes into Fusion360 or Solidworks and use them as reference to create proper parametric files.
