I decided to practice my trim on a dead board. Did i get it right?

yes it is in the correct via.

Shape wise, the trim looks fine. You need to use 34 gauge magnet wire any time you're soldering to Wii vias though, a fat wire and hot glue will not work reliably.

yes it is in the correct via.

looks ok, though you should use less solder and more flux on those U10 joints.
