Afaik that can only be the MX chip. Did you check that all the marked 3.3v legs on the chip are properly supplied and that all the GND legs are connected to GND? Sometimes one magically gets orphaned and it can cause odd behaviour

I believe I fixed it, but it was 1 of the data wires that wasn't deep enough in the via (had lot of the solder exposed).
It's been stable the whole afternoon -> night
Here's hoping it remains such! Been a long journey to get here

Just a small update on what I'm up to.
Nothing has broken since the last message, so that's good news. Been playing a bit of melee and outside of that I'm working on a case to transport it.
Just as a little warning. I'm doing it as cheap as possible but I still want some quality
The box itself is a wine crate and I lasercutted an mdf board of 1 cm thick so it fits with the crate itself (the lids get mostly destroyed when they open the crates in the supermarket)
The foam is some packing foam I hadn't thrown away yet and I manually cut the shapes.
Things I had to buy were the hinges, closing mechanism and the paint.
I currently have a mostly finished version in fusion 360. (Only some extra paint details and a handle need to be added)
It fits the following:
- Ashida
- Nunchuck
- Ashida stand (bottom layer)
- xii bar (bottom layer)
- Wii mote (top layer)
- charger + charging cable (top layer)
- probably can find some space for spare AA batteries
