I have a main question about the CC with a few secondary questions that I would very much appreciate clarification for!

Q: Can the Classic Controller be hardwired to the Wii motherboard, or does it need to go through something like Classic+ then trimmed Wiimote then Bluetooth soldered to motherboard?

Reason I ask: I recently purchased the GC+2 and I see that it can be used with the Ashida pcb set that is shaped like a GC controller board. I also see that the Ashida has 2 Z buttons, much like a Classic Controller would have. Does this mean that the Ashida can emulate a Classic Controller? Or what is that 2nd Z button used for?

And is Jackson's method of using a digital bus switch, paired with a Classic+ and trimmed Wiimote still the best method of having a CC in a portable?

RVLoader contains a software called GC2Wiimote. It allows a Gamecube controller (Real or GC+) to act as a Wiimote in games that don't support the GC controller.

The 2nd Z button isn't yet used but will be mappable in the future to functions such as shake, etc.

If I understand you correctly, that means if I want to play a game that doesn't support GC controllers, RVLoader takes care of this so that I don't need to trim a Wiimote to fit in the build?

Also I'm still trying to understand the steps I would need to take to incorporate a classic controller so that I can play games such as the CoD Wii ports, Goldeneye Wii remake, etc.

Correct. Certain features don't work with GC2Wiimote yet like the tilt function used on Mario Galaxy's Manta race.

If those games support a Wiimote then you can just map controls to a GC controller and have it act as a Classic controller. GC2Wiimote will eventually support mapping the Classic Controller to a GC controller without any configuration.

Ah right, somehow it totally slipped my mind that any game that supports classic controller would of course by default support a standard Wiimote+nunchuck. Thanks so much for your help!
