Preface
This is not a general hardware/trimming/undervolting thread, nor is it about 4-Layer serials. This thread is intended to compile and document all known Wii boards with a Hollywood-2 GPU.

With the influx of modern builds like the Kawaii, modders are truely pushing the limits Wii hardware. Both in terms of size (such as Omega trims becoming more common), but also overall power draw. The existance of a further 45nm revision of the Hollywood GPU (Hollywood-2) has been known for a few years now, but it has mostly been dismissed due to the rarity and lack of documentation. However, as the Wii hardware approaches "endgame" status, these elusive boards have received greater attention in recent builds for their low power consumption. The aforementioned Kawaii is designed to work best with a Hollywood-2 Wii due to it's low TDP, while many portables would also benefit from the longer battery life provided.

Historically, the general advice for people searching for these boards was to purchase Wii minis with a "HW2" or "HEF2" serial (depending on the region). This has proven to be solid advice to reliably obtain Hollywood-2 Wii mini boards. You may then be wondering why I felt compelled to write an entire post about this. Simply put, there's much more to the story that hasn't been written down yet. Many discoveries have been made on the Discord regarding specific board revisions, serials, and even possible production dates that contradict what's on every wiki. I'll provide some annotations containing currently known facts - updating them as more information is revealed.

Known info

All "HW2" & "HEF2" Wii minis have a Hollywood-2

As explained before, this has become common knowledge (and coincidentally makes a great mnemonic). No evidence so far has proven otherwise. If other serial prefixes exist, they haven't been documented.

"RVO-CPU-01" & "RVO-CPU-10" boards can both contain a Hollywood-2
Despite originally thought otherwise, some RVO-CPU-01 Wii minis can contain a Hollywood-2. These boards (with a Hollywood-2) have been found in low (early?) "HW2" serials. This might indicate a transitionary period during production, where RVO-CPU-01 were fabbed with the Hollywood-2, with the earliest documented Hollywood-2 chip having a datecode of "1304" (4th week of 2013). This also emphasizes the known correlation between a "HW2" serial and a board containing a Hollywood-2, as no "HW1" serial has been found with these retrofitted boards.

In other words, RVO-CPU-01 boards found in early "HW2" serial Wii minis will contain a Hollywood-2. However, this board revision from "HW1" serial Wii minis will almost definitely contain a Hollywood-1.

Family Edition Wiis (RVK-CPU-02) can contain a Hollywood-2

Originally discovered and documented by @thedrew, his Family Edition Wii (Serial: KSH70006249) contained a Hollywood-2 on a standard 4-layer board. This correlation was further emphasized by @Bryceshaw06, as his Wii (Serial: KSH70014547) also contained a Hollywood-2. It's currently believed that some these late boards (All of which are RVK-CPU-02) were retrofitted with the Hollywood-2. Consequently, earlier (usually "domestic") RVK-CPU-02 boards have been found with the older Hollywood-1 (With a IHS datecode of "1233" on one example). Both of these "KSH700" Wiis also contain a sticker with the text "Complies with IDA Standards DB102002"; the IDA (now IMDA) is regulatory authority in Singapore. Additionally, another Hollywood-2 RVK-CPU-02 was found by Drew in a Wii Family Edition with the serial "KMH70014070" - the prefix seemingly being used for middle eastern family editions.

Many sources claim the Wii Family Edition was discontinued on October 21, 2013. However, most places that repeat that same discontinuation date omit any source and region. This site states that this date applies specifically to US/European/Australian Family Editions (keep this in mind). As clarified by @YveltalGriffin, it checks out that some late units were likely fabbed with a Hollywood-2 (First introduced in ~Q1 2013). However, no "domestic" Wii Family Edition has so far been found with a Hollywood-2 ("Domestic" meaning the regions mentioned prior). This is where information becomes scarce, as I personally believe that Family Edition production continued (in some regions) beyond 2013. @Lazr pointed out that the board datecodes on the known Hollywood-2 RVK-CPU-02 are dated for 2015. If this is true, then it reveals that some regions (notably asia, and the middle east) may have continued production past the commonly stated 2013 figure. It's difficult to find evidence or statements online that corroborate this theory, so more samples are needed to confirm.

As it currently stands, the only known Hollywood-2 RVK-CPU-02 boards have been found in "KSH700", and "KMH700" Family Editions. More information is needed, especially for other regionp refixes (it's "possible" that some domestic Family Editions can contain a Hollywood-2). Despite being even more obscure than their Wii mini counterparts, these boards may be useful as a swap-in replacement for OMGWTF builds.

Known Revisions (So far)

-Wii Mini ("HW2", "HEF2") - Hollywood-2
  • RVO-CPU-01
  • RVO-CPU-10
-Wii Mini (Any other Serial) - Hollywood-1
  • RVO-CPU-01
-Wii Family Edition ("KU", "KEF", "KEM", "KEH", "KAF", "KAM") - Likely Hollywood-1
  • RVK-CPU-01
  • RVK-CPU-02
-Wii Family Edition ("KSH700", "KMH700") - Likely Hollywood-2
  • RVK-CPU-02

Board Submissions
As previously stated, information regarding these boards is extremely scarce. I will be updating and refining the information listed as more is discovered. Additionally, I would like to use thread as a way for people to submit any Hollywood-2 board (RVO-CPU-01, RVO-CPU-10, or RVK-CPU-02), along with any information regarding it. Any discussion/question posts are great, but submission posts should probably follow a template - here's an arbritary one:

Wii Variant: (Family edition/Wii mini)
Board Revision: (Shown on the board)
Serial Number: (Shown on the shell)
Hollywood Datecode: (First 4 digits of the bottom number on the IHS)
Board Datecode: (Ignore if unsure)
Pics: (Clear pic of the front and back of the board)

P.S
Some of the info here is probably wrong, please lmk if there's anything I should change or improve on. I kinda just improvised on the format.
