Whenever I load a Gamecube game using RVLoader, the game will crash 10-15 seconds after loading.

Specifically with Super Mario Sunshine, I try to skip the opening movie and the console gives me the "An error has occurred, power off the console and refer to the Gamecube manual."

I've reformatted my USB to FAT32 multiple times and used different installations of RVLoader.

I'm trying this on an un-modified Wii (no components removed, but the disk drive is broken), with a 64GB Samsung FIT Plus USB drive.

I have already ruled out a bad ISO, as it runs on Dolphin and USBLoaderGX on my other Wii.

Also, when the error occurs, RVLoader will be stuck on the loading screen on the next boot and requires the files to be reinstalled on the USB drive.

The Wii can be real picky about which USB drives you use. Did you format to FAT32 using 32kb clusters? Also, have you tried a different USB drive? If you're looking to build a portable, you'll need a micro SD card for your file system just so you're aware. Also, what other games have you tried it with? Have you tried with any Wii games?

I have formatted to FAT32 with GUIFormatter. I am not 100% sure that my clusters are 32kb, but my clusters are set to the 32,000 option within GUIFormatter.

I have not yet tried a different USB, and I will not need a MicroSD as I only intend on building a Wii Micro.

I have tried other Gamecube games such as Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Luigi’s Mansion, both had the same issue after a few moments, not being able to load the main menu past the title screen. The only game that would work properly was Pikmin. I have tried New Super Mario Bros. Wii and that had the same issue as the Gamecube games.

The Samsung Fit Plus series of USB drives was known to be funky with BBLoader. RVLoader is an evolution of BBLoader, so that funk may have carried over. The common issues with it were games crashing and random file corruptions, so it's possible that you are unlucky and bought one that doesn't work with RVLoader.

Sorry for not getting back to you on this. Yeah, it sounds like you've been formatting your USB correctly. Stitches covered this well though. Realistically speaking, you'll probably need to use a different USB drive. I like to use Micro Center branded USB drives because they're cheap, high-capacity, and seem to work reliably with RVLoader. Your milage may vary, but if you have a Micro Center nearby, consider picking up a drive from there. Pretty sure you can get one new with double the capacity and a free lifetime warranty for like 10 or 12 bucks.
