Hi everyone. I just launched flashfi.re, an online store where I sell hardware I've designed and other miscellaneous portablizing stuff. Right now you can buy Thundervolt 1 (very limited quantities!), bare flexes, and Alps SKEYAJA010 tact switches.

In the near future I'll be stocking melonHD modules, assembled Fujiflexes, and Thundervolt Lite (should be cheaper than the hand-assembled TV1s currently for sale). On occasion, I may offer small batches of other projects (Scampi, Shinobi Scaler, etc.) as well as things like dual-action tacts, LCDs, and other doodads that interest me.

If there's something you'd like to me stock, let me know and I will look into it!

My focus with flashfi.re is making OSHW designs more readily available to a wide audience! It simply replaces me selling stuff via forum posts and Discord. :)

Yveltal's thanks for the awesome products. But we need more thunder volts units please!! Keep up the great work.

Is a BMS unit for the thundervolt still planned? I'ed love to pick a TV1 but without a BMS I'm a bit hesitant.

Mjolnir is still on my roadmap, but I don't know when I'll get to it. Maybe this summer.

I'm currently working on (re)stocking Thundervolt and melonHD, and doing some minor firmware tweaks to make TV more user-friendly and manufacturable.

Aiming for a late March restock of fully assembled:
  • Thundervolt Lite
  • Fujiflex
  • Unnamed PTH08080-replacement regulator
...as well as bare Fujiflexes and wifiFlexes.

MelonHD will probably arrive in April. The bed of nails fixture for it is a little more involved.

I didn't know Reggie was open source...

Humor aside, this is sick dude! Really looking forward to MelonHD too!
I saw that Thundervolt Lite is cheaper to assemble than the original Thundervolt. Is it also feature complete? Or is there something missing from it that the Thundervolt 1 has?

Thanks man! Thundervolt 1 and Thundervolt Lite are identical in terms of features and performance. The only differences are the PCB layout and artwork.

The pricing went up by $10 because this batch was assembled by JLC, and I had to pay tariffs on them.

Fujiflex and melonHD are now available on Flashfire!

Fujiflex is an open source GCVideo DVI flex PCB for 4-layer Wiis.

melonHD converts HDMI to USB-C DP Alt Mode. In other words, it lets advanced modders add USB-C video output to their builds.

Both boards come fully assembled and preflashed. -----> https://flashfi.re

Hey @YveltalGriffin sent you an email a day or so ago. Will you be able to provide the link or more information on the melonHD schematic? Thanks!
Everything shareable should be available here.

The design isn’t really shareable due to the NDA lontium required. Anything not answered by the GitHub id recommend sending Yveltal a DM, he’s pretty receptive to offering guidance.

Flashfire is open again!

I was on hiatus due to a move. But the store is back up and running, with new, lower pricing:
  • Thundervolt Lite -- now $30
  • Fujiflex - now $30
  • MelonHD - now $35
  • Reggie - now $2.50
...as well as some new products!

Bucky is a 3A TPS62A03A buck regulator module in the Reggie form factor - $2.50

Booster Gold is a 3A TPS61022 boost regulator module in the Reggie form factor - $2.50

Blue Beetle is a 1.5A TPS631000 buck-boost regulator module in the Reggie form factor - $2.50

These regulator boards are very convenient for quick prototyping or old-school portables. Most high quality reg boards from AliExpress stores like YourCee are quite large, and take ~2 weeks to arrive. Reggie, Bucky, Booster Gold, and Blue Beetle are a cheap way to get the latest TI regs in your hands, ASAP.

Cherry Bomb is a simple 1S 2.5A battery charger (BQ25616) + 5V boost converter (TPS61022) for quick and dirty RasPi projects, among other things - $7

I am selling a few of the exciting new 4" 640x480 IPS panels, at cost. These panels have a 54-pin FFC just like the 3.5" 640x480 panel. That means they will be compatible with RVL-DD once 4LT releases a bitstream update. They're expensive in small quantities, and I got shafted with import tariffs, so they are being sold with zero markup. See the product page for more details.

Finally, I have a few of the AYANEO Pocket AIR Mini LCD panels available, also at cost. These are 4.2" 1280x960 landscape MIPI panels. So far no one has successfully driven one. I don't recommend anyone purchase these unless you are familiar with MIPI DSI.

As you all know, my goal with Flashfire is simply to provide the community with cool stuff, evangelize OSHW, and learn + have fun while doing it. Thanks to everyone for your continued support! <3

I hope the move went smoothly dude! Glad to see you're comfortable enough that running your store again! I'm really eager to see what people do with the 4" panels seeing how there's not a ton of variation in portable screens nowadays.
