Question Doubt

Hi there. I had the idea of building a handheld console using a Nintendo Switch Lite and a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. I bought a shell that didn't come with a motherboard or screen. My question is: can I use the existing buttons and joysticks? For instance, is there a module that would let me connect them via USB? I used to connect Xbox 360 controllers to the Raspberry Pi using a USB adapter; do you know if there's something similar available to utilize the console's own buttons?

If you have a usb controller with the same number of buttons (or more) and analog sticks you can probably take the pcb from that and wire it to the buttons and sticks in the Switch Lite case. I don't know if the analog sticks on it are hall effect or potentiometer based but for simplicity it should be the same on the donor gamepad to avoid having to replace them.
