BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

Hi, I'm new here. I came here because I want my journey with electronics and i'm love with gaming (specially old console vibes). I was looking on youtube some videos about modding old console and i'm here :) My goal ist to make my first portable wii. Have any advices with which should I started ? Which portable project is the easiest to make for the first time ? I found G-BOY and I thought this will be my first project but then I realised that I must have G-BOY Kit to build this. Can you help me with buliding my first portable Wii ? Thank you in advance :)

Hi! Right now, there is a kit being developed called the Xii-Boy Ultra by Xenii which will have a guide, store to buy it from, and the PCBs will be preassembled. So I would definitely recommend that as a first portable for you once the kits are released, as it is most similar to the G-Boy Rev 3 while being made with newer parts and methods, and 100% wirefree. Otherwise, there is the Ashida which has plenty of room to put things, and many people have made them before, so there's a large community who know around it, as well as a video series on how to make it. On the other hand, there is the Noldendo Wii Miicro, which isn't a portable, but it is a great first timer's build. It's what is known as a Micro console. You don't have to be as precise with your cuts, typically cheap to build, easier soldering, very simple in design, and practical to use as a home console. Hope this helps!

new to this forum. I'm mao. just a generic student who's fixing consoles for a living. The reason why I join here is to ask regarding the non-tmss model 1 board scan of the sega genesis.

I'm new to modding and recently developed an interest due to finding my old Wii and becoming interested in an upgraded version.

Hello everyone, I am new here and have modified PS2, PS3, and XBOX230 myself. I am very interested in host modification.

In accordance with rule 9, pls translate your text to english before you post it. Doesn't have to be through DeepL or anything fancy, Google Translate is fine.

Hello! Nervous to join up. I have no electronics experience and have never held a soldering iron. My friend mentioned in passing that his Wii had a failed disc drive and he wanted to give it to me, mostly to avoid throwing it away. I remembered a YouTube video I saw once about this Wii handheld-ifying kit called the G-Boy. I found the video again and the person in the video mentioned BitBuilt, so here I am!

I have no electronics experience, but I have watched GingerOfOz's livestream and it made this project seem possible.

I'm going to rewatch GingerOfOz's stream again so I can write things down and share my notes here! Catch you then!

Hi all! Long time lurker, but finally decided I'm dipping my toes into the modding scene.
I've been resourcing everything required to create a Noldendo, which will be the start of my journey here :)

Good morning,
I am Sean (PresRich1)
Just joined up. I saw an amazing video on a key chain sized Nintendo Wii and thought it would be fun to see what it would take to build it? Having support a system like this will definitely help. Look forward to reading more.

Hey guys. I’m starting a small business selling modified N64s and R36s handhelds, and hopefully more custom electronics in the future. I found this site through a post by TheDrew documenting his attempts to construct a new N64 motherboard arrangement. Seems like a lot of knowledge here, hope to talk to some of you soon.

Edit: I see there is ANOTHER thread by Cy about making a custom N64 board. Incredible
