Hello all, I have been browsing these forums for a weeks now, mainly reading pinned posts in relation to wii trimming / portablising. You have all really put a lot work and research into documenting how to do this and some of the finished projects are amazing.

I think a handheld portable wii is going to be outside my skill set for the time being. My goal is to slim down my wii (6 layer motherboard) by removing the disc drive, gamecube memory card slots, sensor bar port and original fan / heat sink assembly. I would also like to have it powered via usb c.

I'm looking forward to learning a bit more about electronics by doing this project and hopefully improve my soldering skills too.

I think everyone's portable versions of consoles is incredibly informational and inspiration. While I don't plan on doing my own work in engineering one, I am skilled with soldering and assembling things. So with that said, I am building (and waiting) G-Boy rev3. Looking forward to it soon (hopefully!)

Hello, I'm new to using forms and wii modding in general, but I'm excited to start a wii hardware mod. I got a free Wii because it has some video issues and want to learn how to fix them and install custom software. Where would I ask such questions? Hi Everyone!

I recently posted one of my 3D printed Gamecube mods on Tiktok and someone mentioned this community! I wish I would have found this earlier! I've been making portables and custom controllers for a little over a year with a 3D printer. Before that, I made my first portable with a Tupperware container and Bondo! I've seen a couple of the creations here, and there are some amazing builds!!
