BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

I’m an IoT engineer who’s gotten caught up in retro console modding. This place is kind of perfect for that

Hello,
Had an account on this forum for about a year but haven't posted anything yet.
Been doing Homebrew stuff for a while, but don't have any experience with portables (yet).
Hope I can contribute to the community!

Hello everyone! Very new to the community but have always wanted to learn how to do this sort of stuff. My family buys abandoned storage units for fun, which occasionally contain broken, beat up, disgusting game consoles. So far, I've only done very simple things like soldering a USB / SD Card to a Sega Classic to expand its storage. Learning to do that took me down a pretty deep rabbit hole, where I soon found how handy all the old Wii consoles that I have piled up can be.

I'm going back and forth about what my first project should be. I'd really love to build a Gamecube Nano... but I'm concerned that's far too advanced for me at this point. I might play it safe and tackle a Noldendo Wii Miicro first. Possibly modify it slightly with the ElectronAVE Kit so that I can have HDMI.

Hi, I'm new here, looking to continue a project I started on 10 years ago to make a portable NES with the original cartridges, and make it look good.

Hey, I'm beth, and I'm trying to build a phone. I'm following basically info I can find to get screens working right now, and 5.5" is apparently too exotic a size to get my hands on

Hello, I dont get how any of that works but hopefully I will figure it out while trying to not cause any significant property damage to myself in the process

Howdy. I’m in the same boat as most here. I’ve done some minor game boy mods, but I recently got my hands on niftier tools and am in a phase where I want to see what’s possible out there. Excited to see what others are up to and steal inspiration!

Hi everyone! Complete newcomer here.
Hoping to make my first Wii project adapting the one from Noldendo. Portables will come later :p
Been reading what this community does for a few days. I'm glad to discover so much is available. Thanks so much guys!

Hi, I'm currently working on an Ashida, which is the most advanced project I've ever tackled so far. Joining the forums after lurking for a while to ask some questions about Wii trimming.

Hey guys. I built a portable N64 back in 2013 and now I'm back trying for a Wii this time.

Hi! I'm TheDuck3000 on GBAtemp, prob will post in both places. Is there dark mode? My eyes hurt already.

Hi all,
I like Game Boys, fixing old things and maximizing their potential. Also I wanted to cheer on loopj and his WavePhoenix project.

Cheers,
