Ashida Wii Portable

Hey guys, I had some files i wanted to share when putting together my Ashida. I hope it helps out others!

First are some portable stands, so I can prop up the Ashida on the go for wiimote games

Second are some spacers for the noctua back version that plug it up so air is channeled the right way

Next is a DD flex relief since I almost tore mine working inside it. it also has a little circle for wire management between halves

I had a hard time printing the Start and Sync buttons at JLC due to the size, so here are some that meet the minimum specs. I used a black resin

Here is a bracket that holds the MX board and has a spot to hold the CR2032 battery. you just run some 22 awg twisted wire through the holes, and use an iron to melt the ends into the side of it. It makes it easy to remove for the future but still secure. There is also a hole so you can use one of the screws with a really big head from the disc drive of the wii and hold it down.

Last but not least was a simple Wifi antenna bracket, that holds them perpendicular to each other in the handles. you have to glue the one that lays flat

Hi everyone, i wanted to buy all the things needed for this build, but while searching i noticed that the thumbnail potentiometer is sold on a site that charges you 20 euros for shipping, and giving the fact that i'm buying 1 or 2 euros of product i think that's too much. Is there an alternative for it? Maybe another potentiometer on another site? Please help me

Another option is to use rvlhud mode and adjust the volume with the gc controller button combo, then you wouldn't need any potentiometer.

Thank you so much, that would be great.
Is ther also an option that all'ospedale me to adjuat the volume with a potentiometer? Like buying a similar one to modify, maybe if the knob is different i can 3d print it, or something like this? Either way the fact that I can do it with button combo could work, but I'd prefer to make it better.

Hi

I have a problem with my screen

When I did the 3.3v mod and powered the board with 3.3v with my power supply, the screen doesn't turning on and the consumption varies and
when I power it with 3.3v with the pms, the pms just turning off directly

Is this a common problem?
And can you help me please?

Detailed pictures of your work would help a lot...

I want to get started with this, how do i start ? is there a guide or video ?
No offense, and I wish you the best luck, but all the information you need is right here for you, and there are A LOT of videos on the subject if you bother googling or something. Nobody is going to hold your hand through the whole process, it's a very advanced type of project and it's expected that you put some effort first and at the very least do some reading. Come up with actual questions and everybody here will be happy to help but just registering and asking for directions is not the way to go. Try doing the bare minimum first.

Hi
Does anyone know the price of putting together an ashida ?
(3d prints and wii excluded)

edit:
i've read untill page 7 of the tread, the price is 236.62 USD excluding wii, gamecube controller, shipping and 3d printed parts : )

Using 4layertech parts, It hovers between 220-300~ish depending on some options (like the ips generic driver vs the RVL-DD, PMS lite vs full, rvl amp, etc) you can go to their website and add the parts you ideally want to buy and check the price. Do note that if you go for the RVL-DD you only need the IPS screen, not the driver it comes bundled with.

After that, as you mentioned, you need to factor in all the other stuff.

Luckily, where i live, gc controllers and wii's are pretty cheap, like 30 euro's in total.

Just a warning, if your country has something like customs clearance, than be ready to pay about dpuble the price for 4layertech stuff.
Digikey is very good with shipping, but 4layertech uses shopify, which apparently isn't good too good with shipping.

Had to pay a lot extra for my stuff.

Also try secondhand shops/apps for your wii, you can get a wii for +- 10€ and sometimes 5 to 8€ excluding shipping

indeed, those shops are pretty cheap, and shipping can be pricy, i'll check if the price affects my country

i recently seem a ashida in pictures and the wiring semed a lot easier so am wondering if its real and if yes how do i do it myself

I want to build a Wii Ashida. How much does an Injection Moulded Ashida Shell cost from PCB Way?
Hey,I remember that I wanted too print one from pcbway back in the Time, but it was something like 90$.You could still try jlcpcb if you want something cheaper but they dont have the same variety of colors. :)

Don't install cios and skip the priiloader settings though.
Cios will brick your wii, I broke 2 wii's when trying bluetooth on the trimmed one with cios installed.

You just need the ios files on the root of your sd card and rvloader will use those.

Priiloader settings only apply on the wii menu, so it doesn't matter unless you're installing wiiware from other regions from the wii menu.
