I want to be able to use the Wii remote on an Ashida and I need a sensor bar. How can I replace the sensor bar on an Ashida?
Thank you!You might be interested in an old project I've made: The XiiSBar!
It's a mini portable sensor bar that runs on two AAA batteries. Might make a V2 somehow soon!
More details here: XiiSBar - BitBuilt
Probably. It looks like the lights subie linked run off 1.2 volts. The Wii has a 1.15v rail, so I'm assuming subie just ran it off that and it probably worked without any problems (since slightly undervolting something like this tends to work flawlessly)Ok, so could I use the pms to power the lights?
Oh, that's very interesting! I might have to have a go at installing IR LEDs then after I add bluetooth to my translucent Ashida. (eventually lol)I did also want to say that I've been able to get IR LED receivers to work with IR remotes through the shell of a portable without drilling any holes and even without a transparent shell. I can't say for sure that it would work (at least, not well) when using a Wii remote, but I did want to say there's potential that you don't even need holes or a transparent shell.
Thanks a lot for sharing this btw @subierekt ! I need to update my starlight G-Wii to include these!
