Thank you! I did have to swap over to magnet wire because my other was just a bit too thick to feel workable. I was about to bust out the microscope if I'm being honest.
It helps to put a bit of kapton/polyamide tape between the legs. Kapton tape is extremely heat resistant and won't burn or melt if you bump it, and solder doesn't stick to it. Makes for a good barrier when soldering H and V sync
@Stitches I'll have to keep that in mind, I do plan on making more Ashida consoles in the future as my friends all really want one!
After about 5 hours of gameplay I'd say its ready to go. The console never overheated once and the fan would slow and speedup as needed. All buttons have remained functional and the console has been working perfectly. I would like to incorporate the Status LED somewhere but the shell being black might make it hard to see. Then again I do have screen bleed in the bottom the is still shining thru the shell.
Would anyone know what LED I used in conjunction with the PMS? If anyone has a link I'd like to get one to try it out, but idk where the ones prepackaged are sourced from or what LED they even are.
