I trimmed my wii and sanded the hell out of it but it still has shorts I had tape over everthing while trimming. Im reading these ressitances:
1v to Ground: 0.7Ohm
1.15 to Ground: 75.8Ohm
1.8 to Ground: 37.1Ohm
3.3 to Ground: 1.5Ohm
There are no visible shorts between the layers and I sanded up...
can you think of anyways of lowering the costs of building a portable wii? I would like to make it as cheap as possible. I would really appreciate a reply.
I would like to build and sell a Wii portable. However I don’t know if people would buy it, I don’t want to spend €550 and not be able to sell it. So can you sell a wii portable easily? Also I live in Europe so it would have to be in the eu.
Is there a market for portable wiis in Europe? I would really like to know cuz I would like to sell a portble wii, but i don't know if it would sell. Do any of you know the answer to this? I would really appreciate the help.
Hey guys!
I'm completely new here and want to make a portable Wii...
But I can't make one myself and here's why:
1. I'm only 13, I can't solder, or use a big spinning saw.
2. I'm broke.
3. No 3D Printer.
Sorry if I'm being strict.
But I am looking for help on make one! The portable will be...
Hi, I am trying to update my Wii to 4.3, and every time I attempt an update I get error code 32007. The progress bar doesn't even really move before this happens. Most online recources say that this is because of a softmod update blocker but I have tried to boot into priiloader by holding down...
My idea is simple: a trimmed Wii, a gamecube controller, and a screen. That's all. This will be my first portable. Any feedback? Also, what batteries should I use?
I am a beginner in portablizing and I need help. I am making a portable wii that looks like a book (to sneak into school) I need tips because I suck at this. I tried soldering once and I melted a motor. I guess I was using a heat stick instead of the controlled ones and I was 9. I need to find a...
My first Wii Portable of my design. Like the ashida, it is designed around 4layer tech boards. I'm calling it the Wiiclipse because I want it to be all black, like an eclipse (and puns are fun). My goal for this design was to make something minimal yet classy. I even made my own logo:
I've...
I am about to start my first wii project but just to be safe I wanna ask if there is a set amount of time I should wait after unplugging my Wii before it's safe to start slicing up the motherboard or can I just unplug it and get to cutting.
I have been wondering about this for a while and finally decided to post something about it, from looking stuff up on Google and YouTube I couldn't find anything, if anyone has any information about this could you post it here. Thank You!
After completing my first portable project (being my phat PS2) I immediately started working on a follow up with the goal of making it a lot sleeker and A LOT thinner. I decided to do a Wii this time and also decided that I wanted to try my hand at designing my own PCB's for this design. So I...
I was wondering if this trim would be possible. I want to keep the Bluetooth connector so I don't have to try and solder to the very tiny contacts. Would I also be able to keep the sync button if I give it power and don't cut that area out?
Hello, I am just about to order my parts for my own Ashida but there are a few things I need some clarification on. Also, I'm sorry if these are dumb questions I am still relatively new to console modding.
-When using the u10 emulation from the RVL-PMS do I only have to remove the u5 chip and...
Nothing too complex, just a Wii in Toaster.
As a teen I always had this goal of posting a completed Gamecube portable on ModRetro. Times have changed, thus I post a WiiinToaster on BitBuilt instead :P
I was a huge fan of SS's Youtube channel (now they're all private videos :'( ), so I had to...
Hello, this is my first thread; so if I seem a bit out of place...I'm still learning haha!
This is a little project I call Wii Motion++
It's a Raspberry Pi running RetroPie and a 1.3 inch LCD shoved into a Wii Remote. Fully functional buttons (D-pad, 1, 2, A, B, and yes, even the power button...
I have my GC+ 2.0 wired up, but when the Wii is on, I have no input from the controller whatsoever. I've tested everything the best I can with a multimeter. I have continuity on everything, and testing when the Wii is on showed everything receiving the right voltage, so I'm not sure what I'm...
I want to start out by giving a huge should out to @Wesk and the 4LayerTech team for making all of this possible and accessible. When I first saw Wesk's Ashida, I knew instantly that I wanted to build one. It is truly a no-compromises portable.
I decided to try FDM printing the case, to try out...
