Yeah exactly. The system would have been way more reliable if the Wii had a screw post on each side of the pogos pins. Having constant pressure like this on the Wii was not a good idea. In my opinion there are no reason to keep this unreliable system. Thanks for the support though!

They are open source, but the current revision isn't the best you could find. I suggest you to wait a few weeks for the REV 2 (Beta Kit) to be released on GithHub. Also, I don't know where you've planned ordering, but it will be a huge pain to ship if you order outside the USA.

My guess is you can’t run it without batteries. It will work, but as soon as you turn the portable off, it will loose the current time. You can either plug a 3V battery, or use the LiPo cells of your portable which seems to work as well :D

I don’t think you can check exactly when it has been bought in a store, but I guess you could know when it has roughly been produced. I just don’t know exactly what the number means, but I’m pretty sure it contains the information you’re looking for :D
