    Worklog Ashida Worklog

You'll initially need a SD card and USB to install letterbomb and mod your wii to get RVLoader installed but once its installed all you'll need is USB (or the PMS-PD which has a SD to USB converter on it, so essentially just a SD card). Hope this helps!

You are correct! This is the correct trim line as the nand traces on the cut line side are routed underneath the nand itself. Have you tried the trim bare bones before installing? I.e. PMS, with only power and button wired with wii connected via composite?

I would try seeing if the wii will display over composite, just to rule out the DD wiring as a potential issue!

Glad you shared this to the forums! This is going to be a great addition to any PS1/PS2 as it gets polished! I have a lot on my plate project wise, however I'll definitely be a tester/ tweaker/ modder to help get this where you want it! Great work man!

    Worklog PS2V

Little Update I've been largely working on my custom screen driver board stuff but I'm still keeping aspects of the PS2V in mind, as well as just some PS2 portable stuff in general. I mentioned above about creating a PMS using an ESP32 to be able to adjust parameters via a web app of some...

    Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

Its been a minute so here's an update. I had been continuing making strides in getting things working with the original firmware base I had, but I've had a daunting realization that I'm working with a firmware I can't do anything with. I mean, sure I can use it for my own benefit but even if I...

    Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

Quick update! I revisited YPbPr 480p last night to try to get it working and spent a decent amount of time messing with it but wasn't getting anywhere. I then had somewhat of a realization that I was trying to display it in a 16:9 aspect ratio then had a thought about when I was trying to code...

    Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

Update time! There's been quite a revelation since I've last worked on this project, but we'll start with how things went last year before I had put it down. Last year before life got ahead of me, I was working on VGA as that's what I was primarily going to use for my personal project. I was...

    Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

It's been a while since I've worked on this and it is largely on the back burner at the moment, however when I was messing around, I did get YPbPr working with the PS2 but it's going to take a fair bit of tweaking to get it working correctly as all I could get was this washed out pixelated...

    Worklog PS2V

Finally back in with an update! Its been a long year away from this project, and I still have a ton going on in my life, but I've found some time here and there to work on things and stay learning. Ive also gotten a new PC a while back so im not limited to a poopy old laptop anymore lol Most...

    Question ps2 portable ?

A legend by the name of Ashen did something like this years ago: https://forums.modretro.com/threads/ashens-ps2-thing-worklog.10354/ So it's definitely possible but be prepared to have to build it in a bigger form factor as you probably won't be able to trim much off if at all to keep disc...

    Worklog Ps2p controller dont work

I might be a little late on this but those connections definitely need to be cleaned up. I can see you're using flux but you need to clean it up with some 99% IPA. Also if your soldering iron has temp control, what are you running it at? It looks like you're keeping the iron on the joints too...

    Worklog PS2V

Update time, but unfortunately not the kind of update I'd hoped for. When starting this project, I vowed not to drop it as I've done that with some of the other projects I started in the past, and I still plan to continue on at some point but here's what's been going on. My work life has...

Worklog Wiring a wireless Guitar Hero Guitar

My work life has been pretty heavy lately so I've been largely absent from the community! I had found all of the necessary connections so the only thing I had to test was putting the necessary passive components on each line and try wiring it up but I haven't gotten around to it yet. If it did...

    Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

There may be settings you can mess with already in your driver boards specific firmware such as changing the aspect ratio and using auto adjust depending on the input but I'm not sure if your driver board has those settings as the firmware differs from each supplier as far as I know. That might...

Solved No signal ps2 advance trim

Everything looks good, but it seems your missing a 3.5V connection on the board: You can connect 3.5V from the other side of the PS14 fuse as shown in the picture I shared to either the little pad, or to the capacitor shown in the second picture.

    Worklog PS2V

Not a major update, but we're going in the right direction! As per my RTD2660 worklog, I explained that I've been trying to do things sequentially and after about 3 weeks of messing around with the screens firmware, I was finally able to get the PS2V logo baked in. Now when the screen is turned...
