After finishing my first Wii project, an ashida with a translucent shell (and amazing result :awesome:), I want to make another Wii project and I want to play it on my TV but I not want a poor quality because I use a recent TV with no composite or YPbPr input and I not want a converter because I want a AIO conception with the Wii (Trimmed) ,the HDMI mod and all the Wii need to work.
I have designed the power PCB based on the PSU-plus conception (files below) and I am verifying if I can order it safely (and if will not burning on me:awesome:).
Actually, I am already designing the shell in Tinkercad (I don't know how to use other CADs)
There is some pictures

I have already writed the code for the ATTiny1616 chip (.ino file included) and I will order the pcb and the components after verfying all and watched if it can ("will" can be better:awesome:) work.
New worklog post soon !

I just have a doubt about the power supply of the BT module: I need to feeding it 3.3v at just the power pin like my pcb or also on the sense pins like the definitive wii trimming guide when the wii are turned off and standby regulator turned on (PCB connected on a power supply via VIN)?

I have also finished the comparison of my pcb with the pcb of the PSU-Plus and it looks very good and I think order the pcb soon

Afaik you can only sync wiimotes when the system is running, so 3.3v standby just needs to supply the BT module's running power. Regular 3.3v can be used for the sync button.

No idea if power on by Wiimote works on a trimmed Wii though. I will be interested to see if it does

Little update:

I received a 6 layer wii and ordered the components and the pcb (I added a wifi flex but It is only usable with 4 layer models ) and I have installed Rvloader on the wii.
I also made a functional u10 relocation and I will test my custom regs as soon as I receive the PCBs.
I also think I will receive components today and I will probably test an "artisanal" wifi relocation and I will relocate mx because I want all relocated for this build.

As a first time, I use the WII2HDMI adapter but I will attempt to create a custom version of the GCvideo because the chip are very expensive (around 40 $ on Digikey) and I want use a common MCU like the RP2040 (or the RP2350, more powerful but more expensive, I need check the price) I'll not use the picoAVE because I want a GCvideo like pcb layout and it's functionalities are very limited

Now that would be a welcome innovation!

I'm watching if I can simply change some things in the code and compile it in uf2 file but it will probably be more complicated :awesome:
I need to buy a Pico 2 for test before make a custom pcb for this

EDIT: Grouped two posts

I received all the components, assembled all on my board and disconnected the stock regulators of my Wii (And the 1.8v LDO) and connected my regs.
When I turn on my board without the wii connected, I have all voltages good (4.93v ,3.26v, 1.75v, 1.14v and 0.99v). But when I connect the wii, I have 1.07v on my 1.15v rail and 0.88v on my 1v rail. So the wii can still boot with this voltages? I tested with all connected and I have no screen...:rothink:
I connected the 5v to the USB and I need to connect it to the AV port because I watched the 5v need to be connected to the AV port for the Wii2HDMI adapter.
I have not trimmed the wii because I want test all before.

EDIT: I’ll trim the wii today because I think it’s caused by the stock regs chips and I have already maked functionnal 4 layer wii trimestre for my ashida (I use a RVL-CPU-01 wii revision)

Little update:

I trimmed the wii and sanded it with 80 sandpaper and 600 and I'll test it soon (this metallic plate is not my workbench:awesome:)
I have also trimmed the SD card slot for some homebrews that does'nt work on USB like WiiXplorer (I cannot access USB on it with my ashida)

So I tried to turning this on annnnd...
Same issue :'(...
I remaked the u10 solders and all the cables (I have good 3.3v on the u10 to via wire) but I still getting 0.88v and 1.07v on the 1v and 1.15v rails with a consumption around 1amp
I need to test if my regs can outputting this but normally it can because it’s the same of the psu plus:rothink:
I’ll use a lot of resistors for getting around 1.5 amps out of the regs with 1/4 w resistors

Big update:

I make my wii work and connected 5v to av port for wii2hdmi and the wii... Works:D
But I have got freezes and looks not complete boots but after research it's an issue with wii2hdmi adapter because when I connect my composite to hdmi converter I have good video and wii boots correctly with my custom regs. I tested 3.3 and 5v goodly arrivate to the wii2hdmi and testing with converter disassembled and it's good. So I not know what can be the issue:rothink:
When I test with my complete wii (not softmodded) the converter works fine so it's a problem with the connections on my trimmed wii...
More updates soon and I'll add photos as soon as posible
