    Worklog Getting the PS2 smaller

SCLK0 should be PS1 mode clock while SCLK1 should be PS2/IOP mode clock.

It can allow for both speeding up and slowing down bus accesses. See SSBUSC docs (link)

Nice job! I'm curious about the following: * Which RDDL (read delay) value are you using for the SSBUSC delay/config MMIO value? * Is 32-bit wide DMA in use?

For ethernet it may be possible to skip/omit the PHY/magnetics and connect to MII with some additional IC. ESP32 (other than ESP32/ESP32-P4/ESP32-S31) don't support ethernet and require an additional IC like ones from Wiznet, DM9051, CH390, ENC28J60 connected over SPI for interfacing. So it may...

The part that needs to be changed is the IOP, not the EE. NVMe/PCIe is over-specced for SSBUSC which can do around ~144 MB/s half-duplex transfer speed (32 bits * processor speed (~36Mhz)).

The components may be able to be hooked up hardware-wise if the DEV9 related signals were found, but currently it would not be possible to make them work from software due to a software issue. The DECKARD emulator will redirect DEV9 and DEV9C accesses to either on-chip peripherals (e.g. for...

HDD support was part of the SPEED chip. SPEED and DEV9C chips were removed on 75k+

    PS2TV - Sony KDL-22PX300

I wonder if the TV still works enough that it can still boot the OS. There is a UART serial on the VGA port. See the blog post "I got bored, so I hacked my TV" for a similar method for accessing UART serial on another Sony TV. KDL-22BX300 service manuals, which appear similar to that model...

Creating custom ROMs for the PS2

In-system ROM flashing tool is now up on Github, in romflash repository under ps2dbg organization.

Yes, indeed. The max amount of romdrv images support is 4, but it is possible to add more by romdrv modifications

You could probably put some ROM in dev9 address space (e.g. ACDEV)

I think it would be interesting to get PS2MADD (or something else similar) support integrated into DECKARD emulator such that you can pretend that commonly available e.g. 8MB QSPI flash or SD/eMMC is memory mapped ROM. Then lower the parallel flash ROM capacity (to more common chips) to hold...

For ROM-less DVD player, it is basically the same situation as SCPH-10000. It is actually possible to install it on a memory card and boot from it; search exactly "PS2 DVD Player modifications". I also plan to release a tool that can do in-system flash ROM programming based on what DTL-T10000...

    BitBuilt Welcome Thread!

Hello there. For console modding related stuff, I'm mostly interested in PS2 related stuff but also messed around with DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, Switch, PS3, PS4, and PSVita.
