Just an update for the DIY SD2PSXTD gen2. I created a fork of the original and will be updating the code for my diy version here in the future.

Can changes to scaling or some other setting like enabling an input be done just by sending register write commands via I2C?
I suppose the changes wouldn't be permanent that way.
I had some noise problems wiring PS2 to a LCD which I eliminated by having a ground wire twisted around the signal wires. I'm using enamel copper wire btw. I tried to use some shielded wires from a vga cable and that didn't solve the problem either. Only wrapping ground very close to the signal...
@Strnadik
Your ps2 mini and mine are twins! I also use an original shell for mine!
@FatBaldDad
Nice work on the diagrams. Much better looking than mine. I am just using paint program and lack any graphical skills lol
Since the VGA and YPbPr are using separate input pins on the RTD2660, we have to connect to them via small wires.
Basically by using the same VGA port inputs I connected them to the 2nd RGB analog input just below it. However after following the datasheet specs, I was only getting a blueish...
This is my worklog on how I've modded my Lilliput 869GL (8 inch 800x480 TTL LCD) for enabling component (YPbPr) input.
It has the RTD2660 chip which is well known in the modding community. The available inputs on this monitor are the standard HDMI, VGA, 2x AV ports.
My intention is to be able...
I have a updated firmware for my DIY RP2040 SD2PSXTD memcard gen2. This is the latest 1.3 version. Remember it has to be wired EXACTLY as my schematic shown earlier for this to work.
*edit- Had to reupload the file as there was a problem with the compiled firmware.
It would be great to have YPbPr input enabled for a PS2 or any other console. For some rtd 2662 boards which have VGA port input already wired in it would be easy to configure it for component instead of VGA. From it's datasheet the chip also supports SOG signal from PS2 RGB output as well.
I...
If you want to save space and retain wireless function then he only option is to extend wires to the RF board and place it horizontally. If you are willing to go wired controller only, you dont even need the RF board connected at all for it to work. I did something simliar to you one of my off...
I don't know who's crazier.. This xbox 360 trimmed to the max or another youtuber modder (Victor Sanchez) who literally cut the motherboard in half and got wires to connect all the lines again.
Much respect for both to go to the lengths of building them. My solution was to just make a laptop...
Yes I did disable the unused PHY ports on mine by adding it manually. I have not made another firmware as it is quite a pain to do.
I wanted to ask you something if you know about the ethernet connection. Is it possible to connect the router to ps2 bypassing the inductors on both sides? Since...
You could upgrade the mini 3G router to a firmware that will run UDPBD instead of SMB which will run faster. Putting a small heatsink on the router will also help with heat problems.
I have a desire to also use switch controller on a portable PS2 i'm working on but it requires bluetooth...
@GorGylka : That's awesome bro.. thanks for the writeup and making it fit onto the 4MB flash No more flash soldering mod required =)
I suspect the sale of these mini routers will shoot up on aliexpress lol
BTW. what is that skin you are using on OPL?. Looks great.
