Hi there guys! First post in this incredible community hoping to get and give some help. I was thinking if it could be possible to reorganize (or even remove) components from a NDS Lite making it smaller. I was thinking maybe cutting off the second screen traces and connector (effectivly making it a permanent GBA Macro with screen swap mod), repositioning CPU etc. All of these are just assumptions as I'm a noob in electronics (willing to learn of course). In the meanwhile, I had found an old thread by @nitehack , who was already working on the board (and ended up making the TV out mod), and wanted to get up to at least his point (eventually). Question is, while following power traces I found this one here and I'm not sure where it connects. It looks like it should deliver a voltage to the MITSUMI ic but i can't back track it (following the traces brings me near the charge port (view image)). Anyway, thanks for the help and srry if I made some typos, english is not my first language (italian). Also, if someone happens to have some link to guides to basics of pcbs I would really appreciate!

That's vdd1.8. Cpu and ram use it.
Got it, thanks! Any thoughts on the concept? (i plan on removing the gba port and upper screen connector too so that i can have more space to organize components)

Alright, small update:
finally got around finishing my transposition/ki cad excercise of the ds lite's schematic from @gorgyrip .
Next up will be board redesign. Ideally i would like this project to be as customazible as possible while requiring minimal soldering on the "customer" side (basically a kit). The hard part will of course be moving the DS' cpu and ram onto the new board since they are bga packages (already have a few solutions for that). In the meantime I'll fix the last problems with the schematic then it'll be on here for anyone to grab!
