Well they all take av signals so I suppose so. Although some of the cheap ones I bought to start with had some trouble coping with the Ps1 games signal... I still don't know why. But this one was a bit more expensive about ten pounds more... But works great.

Hmm... I think your right about the IC I've tried swapping the laser and they all seem to be doing the same thing CDs and Ps1 games work fine but DVDs and Ps2 games aren't recognised... If I install FreeMcBoot would that be an option for playing the Ps2 games? I've never used (or installed it)...

Well if that's the case I don't think there's much I can do about that... If it gets to the point where it wont play DVDs anymore I'll try getting a new laser but at least its playing the vast majority at the moment.

Far as I'm aware each usb port has it's own Regulator... the one for the remaining usb port is the one I'm talking about: The other one gets chopped off with the other port... What I want to know is if I power the sound amp off this remaining reg will it stop the Port working?
