Hi guys, It's me again.

again because I made a simmilar post a while ago when I didn't know anything and you guys were kind enough to give me some very good pointers.

I'm back cuz I've improved and I'm going to try this again and I'd like to ask some questions.

1: how do I wire the controller to the board?
do I just heat the connection, desolder it and solder on the wire from the contoller? does anybody have a good image of how that would look?
I'm currently thinking of doing something like this: (this is just frayed and tightened wire, I'll solder it solid later, this is just an example)

would smth like this work? alternatively Ill break apart the housing on the actual connector and use those prongs. Im trying to make this as low profile as possible WITHOUT changing the board in any way. (yes, no trim either)
2: how should I split and wire the controls? I want a vita layout but obs I have to split the board, so I was thinking of doing it like this,

image (11).webp

and reconnecting it like this?

(grinding down until copper, adding solder and flux and connect them)

would this work?

3: how should I wire A / V out? the screen I got takes the yellow and white plugs from the actual AV out cable (thats only video I got another idea for audio ), but that increases profile by a lot, is there any guide as to how to wire av out from off the board? getting the YRW cables WITHOUT the bulky connector would be best

lastly, would anybody have a 3d model for a generic casing?

Thank you all.

You might find my worklog useful https://bitbuilt.net/forums/threads/the-last-one-3rd-ps2-portable.5322/

And here are the files I released Ps2p
THANK YOU.
MAN, remaking the controls and then wiring them to the ps2 controller board with solder pads for all the functions is so smart. That's a custom made design I assume? and probably made by a service like pcbway? any links for the board AND the joysticks with their input mapping board? I can get the simple buttons locally but I'll have to internationally order those but they seem very worth it.
and from what I gathered from your post, the screen needs a special board to take signal from the ps2 board and convert it?

also, what kind of battery setup would you recommend? I'm thinking a 2S3P setup with 21700 4000/5000 mah batteries (3 on each side) but I saw everybody say that they used 2 18650's so Im thinking its overkill? maybe not considering Im not cutting my board.

anyways thank you so much <3.

I ordered my shell from jlpcb I provided the step files so if you wish to edit the case to fit your untrimmed board.

For the batteries I think 2 is enough for me I get good battery life out of them, it all depends on how you want to build your portable and what shell you’ll be using.

The files I provided are for a trimmed motherboard and it uses a custom regulator board made by @Mister M https://bitbuilt.net/forums/threads/ps2-voltage-regulator-board.5168/
