Specs:

These are high poly scans, average poly count per mesh is about 2,500,000 triangles.

NOTE:
3D scans aren't perfect, if light cannot hit certain parts of the object then the scan will contain 'Blobs' in those areas.
These scans are provided as reference only. No assistance will be provided on how to use this data.

Meshes: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Scan

Hi! I came across your Xbox 360 controller 3D scan and I'm considering using it as a reference for my IB Extended Essay, which is focused on the geometric optimization of game controller design.

I was wondering if you could tell me a little about how you made the scan, particularly what scanning equipment or method you used, and how you established the scale/accuracy of the resulting model. Also, was the mesh heavily processed or smoothed after scanning?

I would of course credit you and link back to your original post if I end up using the scan in my research. Thanks!

Back during the time I did this scan I was using an Einscan SP, these are raw scans directly out of the EXscan software but with poly counts contained to 2.5million. The only "post processing" to the model is the alignment which I do manually.
