Solved Workplace Tool Recommendations~

So I have come unto an irritating problem. My desoldering iron from Radioshack doesn't appear to have replacement tips that taper into an actual point. all their tips have a hole in the center so that I can suck out molten solder.
I basically need a really fine point soldering iron / tip. However, I don't want to buy anything that hasn't been used by one of the other Portablizers before. What model soldering iron do you guys use for those tiny 34+ guage wire connections?
While we're at it, what model/brand/type of solder and magnet wire have you all been using? What tools do you use to expose traces without breaking them (aside from lightly scratching with a razor)?

I'd recommend getting a weller and I know other portablizers would agree with me on this. I have always used an x acto blade for exposing copper. I have a variety of diameter solder I use depending on what I'm soldering but I like 60/40 rosin core solder .032"

I have 28 and 30 gauge magnet wire, and I don't think the brand matters all that much as long as the reviews aren't like "kept falling apart" although I think the ones I have are Remington.

I use a pointy knife to scratch traces.
