Sharing a couple disc drive board trims here. These board trims were developed so that one can build a portable wii that retains functionality of loading through USB Loader GX and WiiFlow, along with booting into the system menu, as booting games in this manner is not possible without at least the disc drive plugged in. Essentially, this bypasses the need for RVLoader and is for those who really care about maintaining a close-to-stock wii experience (as this also includes relocating WiFi and Bluetooth). Both trims are tested and working.

Wii Disc Drive v1 (developed by Bazmoc):

Wii Disc Drive v2 (Developed by me but heavily based off Bazmoc's trim):

The v1 board trim supposedly is as trimmed as it can be according to Bazmoc. I suspect v2 could be trimmed a tad more (near the bottom connector and a bit to the left side) but I don't have any spare boards / am happy enough with this trim.

Now, you may ask: What's the point if you can't connect it to a trimmed wii? I suspect the OMGWTF trim can be modified slightly to include the disc port if you dont want to deal with soldering traces. I have not tested either - only connecting to a full untrimmed wii. I include what i suspect a working trim would be based off the wii board compendium, and will be testing it sometime in the next month, but note the trim below is UNTESTED!

Someone tried to trim the WiiU disc drive board? Specially in later revisions?

m really looking forward to the optical drive board trim/cover guide!
Could you share how the testing is going so far?
Thanks a lot for your work!
