I recently attempted to remove the U10 and ended up destroying both it and the U9. From there I ordered their equivalent from Mouser Electronics.
Today I attempted to solder them to the board and had nothing but problems. My U5 pads got ripped off so I could not solder to those, so I used an older thread to solder wires to the legs and to their respective ends.
Nothing I did caused the Wii to turn on and I’m not sure what caused it. The wires are all continuous with each other and the pins on the chip are too.
Is there any way to save this or is my Wii cooked?
