Hello there !
I’m new in modding and I started my first ever project. I have no experience in soldering or electronics, only some bases (I nearly know the difference between ampere and voltages lol).
For my first project, my target was to add some led to my childhood’s PSP.
I didn’t want to kill my PSP so I trained my soldering skills on a soldering kit from Amazon I bought. It was really cool to introduce myself to soldering and at least know how to melt tin on a PCB.
After that, I registered myself on BitBuilt to have some advice. I contacted customleds to get some help. Once every components was received I dived into the installation. To do this I used a 2n2222, 2 leds. I soldered my transistor to both speaker poles and my leds to two 5v resistors.
At the beggining, I tried to solder to only on resistor but, without doing it on a purpose, I soldered on both resistor and it works very well, I don’t know why but that’s cool xd
As you can see my wires are very long, I was afraid to cut it but next time, I will cut it to have the needed size because it’s a mess lol.
And here is the result !
I’m glad because I didn’t break my console but I have some new goals like :

- Install USB-C
- Install MORE LEDS (2 more maybe)
