Been doing a lot of work with PSP consoles lately and decided to work out a trim just for funsies. Since it was a success, I wanted to document it in-case anyone else is doing weird niche stuff with the psp too lol.
It seems pretty dumb, I know, the psp is already small. BUT this trim opens up the possibility of having some extra space for internal mods (or for doing other custom things). It gets rid of a decent little chunk of the left side of the motherboard at the cost of having to rewire / relocate the memory stick.

This trim should work with both the TA-085 and TA-088 which seem to be the two most common motherboards found in the 2k series from my experience, but please be sure to check which revision you have first!
(it appears that this could potentially work on the later 2k and 3k TA-090 and TA-093 revisions and possibly TA-095 - but these do have some differences. I have not tested these, so try at your own risk, but please do report back if you have success with one of these other revisions!)

The first photo below shows what we will be trimming off (section marked in purple - the cut will be along the red dotted lines).
You'll first want to remove the memory card slot from the other side of the board. Other than that, this side of the board is mostly just home to a few components for the storage and wifi LEDs, which I suppose could also be relocated if you really want to. As with any motherboard, cut a bit outside of the line as you will need to sand those trimmed edges to be perfectly smooth before testing!!

Here's what a trimmed board looks like!

And voila, now you've got a psp motherboard chopped down to nearly the same size as the lcd panel... psp micro build anyone ?? :rothink:
