It sounds like it's an untrimmed motherboard with the stock regulators, running off the original power brick.

Yup. Untrimmed. Stock regulator (the daughter board) and official power brick are used man.

I dunno then . Maybe your av connector has issues. It might be easier to just get a new gc. If you want it untrimmed and you plan on using the stock regulators, you should get a rev c board (dol-101). Instead of the extra circuit board below the motherboard, the regulators are built in to the motherboard.

101s also use noticeably less power.
