Riivolution for RVLoader?

Want to install newer Super Mario Bross Wii?
I Think it just something you can install in the Wii menu,I dot think it's specific at rvloader but you can still access to the wii menu with rvloader,so I think if you want to do a portable it should be good

no i was just wondering when i make my portable since i make mods myself, and i want to be able to play some of those mods on a portable bc it would be neat.

I've not tested this software myself, but I've found that most homebrew that works on a stock Wii also works on Wii portables. RVLoader has a homebrew tab that allows you to access all the homebrew apps you could from the homebrew channel. I know that CTGP isn't supported since it requires an official disk, but I seem to remember someone running Newer SMBW on a portable.

Want me to test Riivolution on one of my portables for you?

yeah that would be nice. I'm planning to make an ashida when i get the money and materials, so knowing if my Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 mods for example work would be good to know.

I downloaded Riivolution and looked through the readme.txt to find this:

I think we have our answer with this alone. I've never messed with this software before, so I didn't realize it relied on original discs. Every portable that I've seen forgoes the disc drive for the sake of battery life. With that said, I believe a workaround may exist in the form of patched ISOs for games. If you're able to patch an ISO of SMG 1 and 2 each time you want to test or play a mod on your console, that's very likely to work.

yeah, for modding you an WBFS/ISO for testing, since dolphin has riivolution with WBFS/ISO support. The patched iso thing works for the most part, however if you want custom code for SMG2/1 it won't work. I imagine most MKWii mods will work though and mods that don't edit the dol via a custom code.bin but just edit it directly.
