Hey all,

I had a nintendo wii that if I recall i did a PortablizeMii install to a usb that was using ploader. I think at some point the USB went bad. It just blinks lights when plugged into the wii and I get no video out. I was able to dump the drive via ddrescue.

These are the only files here, and then in the found.000 folder there are like 26gb of files, so im guessing the roms and some other bits

I dont really care about any of the roms/saves or anything, but what files do I need to get a different USB working again? If the instructions back then said to backup a rom or something id probably have saved it, but any guidance on the file name would be appreciated.

Is the Wii trimmed?
Nope. I never got that far. I kinda softmodded it, got a gc+ and bunch of regulators back in the day and just kinda stopped there,

i did the hold reset and press power and it gives some information for the system menu/homebrew channel. It states like OS v80, v513 systemmenu and then priiloader v0.8.2(rBBL-DD).

Otherwise it just states BBLoader bootloader 00, press A to boot into priiloader. So I can still just add another usb with some software or whatever, but I was thinking id dumped some files or something.

If you use Priiloader to manually boot into the homebrew channel then you should be able to install RVLoader to replace the PortabliseMii configuration

let me try that again, the bluetooth modules and stuff were removed so i only have the gc controllers and those were not letting me get to that option/go down from the priiloader menu when i tried.

Yeah so i just tried, the arrow keys worked to go down to the homebrew channel but then when selecting it just black screen. There is also no disk drive in this either.

So I got into priiloader and then used the install file to select rvloader which was extracted and I had the roms on there, but it just states like error initializing FAT. Im going to try a different drive i guess.

I was able to install rvloader via the priiloader install file and a game so im good. Thanks, been putting this off for ages. Guess i need to check on the emulator setup on this,

We had a list of patched emulators that work without all the peripherals somewhere deep in the archives, if it still exists. Otherwise it's a bit of trial and error to find ones that work without the bluetooth module and/or MX chip
