I have a missing capacitor on my board which is not giving me video and I wanted to know if this is likely the culprit and I need to get a replacement part or if I should keep looking for something else to be causing the issue

Capacitor is circled, keep in mind the image is flipped, not really sure why that's the case but this is just from the wii compendium

The current issue is I'm getting seemingly a black video signal from both composite and vga on my wii which I just finished up for my ashida, I know this trim worked before but maybe the capacitor broke off during travel and that's my issue? Not really sure but that's my working theory, picture of my current board below (should also note that the wire

Looks like I'm just buying another wii since I only have 2 weeks before I'm out of the country and I really want something working, very unfortunate but I really can't figure out what's wrong with this wii which used to work completely fine unless it's the capacitors but I'm not going to waste over a week shipping something that costs more to ship than the product itself just to find out that's not the issue

Yeah that missing cap will foul the logic on that line. I haven't checked the compendium, but usually those little passives by the CPU/GPU can only be found in that location and would need a donor board anyway.

Remember to clean any burnt flux off the PCB before powering it on with your next attempt. Sometimes that black gunk can cause shorts which are annoying to diagnose
