Hello, im trying to make a "portable" but probably a tv with a build in ps2 is more fitting, i have a motherboard with a GH-072-42 1p-0088c00-4011 written on it, but the problem is, i only have a motherboard that i got for basically free, i need to make it running somehow but i cant check what voltage it needs,i dont have the power supply, and i just cant find this info online, i think i found it need 7.5v? but still, i dont know ampers and if theres more than one (different voltage) power line, i cant send a phoro rn, so i just take some of wiki thanks in advance!

The regular PS2 slim power supply gives out 8.5v at a maximum of 5.65A!

If you're not trimming it or removing original regulators, you'd be fine to supply it with anywhere from 7.4v to 9v so long as it can meet that amperage requirement.

What exactly are you planning to do with it? Are you leaving the motherboard intact or trimming it at all?

Either way, here's some good info on 90k boards:

Yeah, I saw that post, but thanks for the additional info! To be honest I have a small screen with a motherboard that has some connections, I've always wanted to have a portable PS2, but my engineering skills aren't that great, but I had an idea, what if I take my screen, 3d print a case for it, and use one of the video inputs as a PS2? That way, I have a portable monitor, and If I want, I just flip the switch and boom! PS2, just connect a gamepad in the back/top and you can play basically anywhere, also, if it's 7.5/9v, I can plug in a stepdown and also use it in my car!

Everybody starts somewhere my friend! Sounds like a great project! If you decide to embark on such a journey and need any assistance, dont be afraid to reach out!

Thanks! I need to buy some step-downs rn and need to finish the 3d case, having some problems with it but I gues I need to figure out this alone
