Portablizemii seems to be pretty picky with SD to USB card readers. I've tried 3 different ones.

Also this one I got from Walmart today also does not seem to work either. This isn't the same case, but it looks like the same one http://www.walmart.com/ip/Digipower-42-in-1-Card-Reader/24389849

The moral of the story is don't use cheap junk. Also some of those will register multiple drives when plugged in, which is not ideal for the Wii.

Glad to see you guys finally finished it up. Sorry I wasn't much of a help; with the stress from work and the agitation I was giving myself from being unable to get the special final touch to work it just wasn't working out.

Every time i hook up a usb flashdrive and select it it says invalid dev i have formatted it and added all the files can you please help?

Try with another USB drive. Also do you boot your wii already with the drive inserted?

Just tried installing Portablizemii on another wii and cheese loader is not working. I go through the steps and it starts and then it says something like "failed to load ios236" and then crashes. This is the second Wii that this happened to. They are both virgin wiis with no previous modifications. It is the same pack I successfully installed on other wiis too. Any ideas?

I had previously already tried redownloading the pack and just now I swapped out a different SD and USB drive and still the same result.

When you say Virgin Wii I assume you mean no softmodding of any kind prior to the pack?
Have these drives worked on that other Wii?
If you could record a video of what happens and pm it to me, I could probably help figure out what's up

Yeah no softmodding or hardware modding. Yes these are the same drives I used successfully on other Wiis. Ok I can record a video.

I assumed there was no prior softmodding to the wii, but it looks like there might have been. Cheese helped me fix it and it is working now, thanks.
