Please Identify what this is

This was in an audio device( forgot what it was specifically ) being used for volume control. I would call it a potentiometer but i cannot find it anywhere online using that name. It has 3 pins and is doing a job potentiometers do! The only thing is that its endless, it doesn't hit a stop when turning, its fully 360 degrees. I want to buy more for a future project and in order to buy more i need to know what it is so please someone give me the answer.

It sounds to me like a multi turn potentiometer. It's just a potentiometer that's easier to adjust to a specific range.

Odds are it isn't a pot, instead a rotary encoder.
