Hello everyone, I just trimmed my wii, relocated the u10 chip and wired the custom regulators. Unfortunately I got no signal on my screen. The CPU/GPU are heating and the voltage seems normal. I installed RVLoader on it. Here's my wiring in attached files. Does anyone have an idea of why this is not working ? Thanks for any response.

Are those regulaltors rated for at least 2.5A continuous discharge?

In the specification of the regulators, it is say that the max output current is 3A. Here’s the specs of the regulators in attached files.

PS : sorry for my poor English

After some testings I got like ~4A of current on all voltages. Is that normal ?

How are you measuring current?

I measure it with the minus pin on the ground and the plus pin on the cable I want to measure.

That's not how you measure current flow, that's how you measure voltage. To accurately measure current with a multimeter you have to disconnect that voltage line from the Wii and have the multimeter connect the PMS output pad to the Wii. You'll need to use the 10amp probe socket and the 10amp current monitoring setting on your multimeter.

Oooooh ok I told myself that something was wrong with this value xD
A part that, do you think there is something that can cause this ? Like, can the CPU heat up if the U10 is badly replaced ? Or a bad trim can cause this ? etc

The CPU/GPU heating up just means that power is being supplied to the chips. It happens almost no matter what and doesn't really serve any diagnostic value beyond confirming the presence of 1v/1.15v.

I'm guessing you've measured the output voltages of the regulators and confirmed that they're correct? What kind of USB supply are you using and what is that USB-C PD module rated for?

Hey ! I apologize so much for the absence of any response :'(, I had a lot of work in the past months and had no time for this project ;(
But now I have time for it and will restart work, unfortunately I lost all my measurements, I'll do and post them

Make sure to properly sand your trim edges, you dont have to go up to 1200grits, 400 or 600 should be good enough(at least they were for me). Make sure to measure your resistances on the different voltage lines exactly like described in the wii trim resistances thread. They should be somewhere in the ballpark. When you installed RVLoader, did you remember to patch out wifi? I havent had good experiences with the regs you posted as they are just poorly made imo, so it could also be them.

I patched the wifi when installing RVloader. I re-sanded the trim edges, but it definitely seems to be the regs, they are like you said very poorly made, a little pinch on it change the voltage by 0.4 to 0.6 volts. So I decided to manufacture a RVL-PSU, I think it will be much better. Thanks you very much for your respond ! I will post the advancement when I will received them. :)

Just a heads up, trying to come up with your own solution is very satisfying and also excellent as an exercise, but it can be absolute hell to get it working like you want to. You might just want to bite the bullet and purchaee an rvl pms(or lite) from 4layertech.
