So I am almost finished with my Ashida build, however I am currently running into a roadblock. A very perplexing roadblock. I am receiving zero input from my GC+, however from as far as I can tell from reading other threads here this is a unique problem, let me explain a bit more:

For context: prior to almost full assembly of my build, I needed to hookup the GC+ to enable the VGA patch, this is when the issue started. It was intermittently not working, interestingly it would work but only after the system crashed and rebooted? I couldn’t get this to replicate very well and only happened when I was probing? I’m not sure exactly but moving on. The GC+ require ground, 3.3V, and a data line connected to one of the P1 vias. I have all three, power is connected and giving 3.3V to the GC+, the GC+ is grounded and there is no short to ground, lastly the data line is connected and I get continuity from the D pad on the GC+ as well as both P1 vias along with the resistor array and the GCN pad on the GC+. Now from reading other almost similar threads here I found some possible solution for this problem, first one I found was U10, however after checking my U10 it is receiving 3.3V like it should, the U10 is also properly connected and the system consistently boots without any delay or lag. U10 is also achieved with U10 emulation from PMS board. Second I tested to see if there was data being sent, I don’t have an oscilloscope however when checking voltage on a given button pad on the GC+ and pressing said button I consistently get a small voltage drop when the button is pressed which indicates to me that data is being sent. Lastly I tested for any shorts anywhere throughout my build and I can’t find a single one nor is anything else having issues. I am also aware that 4layertech tests their products before shipping and it did initially function intermittently. The intermittent function also indicates that the P1 via is not fried/broken(also receives 3.3V) there is also no bridging between controller vias.

This begs the question, if all requirements for the for controller input are being met and my multimeter is confirming that everything should be functioning correctly, what is going on? Am I missing something or anything? I can’t find any other thread that had this issue without an obvious solution and even after trying all these solutions it still won’t function. Is it possible that perhaps the GC+ itself is damaged or a way to test it? (Like if it was dropped)

Here’s some of my wiring, please excuse some of the wires as some are temporary for troubleshooting also I haven’t cleaned up most of these top wires yet.

I didn't think a dirty U10 could do that. Good to know
