Question NES7805

Is there a reason for using the old 7805 that came on the NES? instead of one of the new models? like say this?

It doesn't really matter either way, both will lose the same amount of power as heat due to their design. If you happen to have the 7805 that came with the NES, then you don't have to buy one, but that's about it...
