Getting ready to relocate the MX chip into my completed Ashida just so I can play VC games, but I was questioning whether or not I needed to remove the U10 from it before relocating it into the Ashida or if it's completely fine to leave on.

Thanks in advance for any help,

You don't need to remove the u10 for using the mx chip. Good luck!

Thanks man, just didn't want to mess up the portable that I finally got working properly lmao

Here's hoping I don't knock anything lose during the relocation process and have to deal with a ton of troubleshooting :eyeroll:

I'm really sorry, I just forgot u10 is the one on the edge. It won't mess with the wii it terms of what it does, but you should remove it because it is on the line for the mx chip cut, and half cut components aren't a good idea. You can still remove it after the mx chip trim is done. U9 on the other hand can stay on because it isn't on the line. I'm sorry I should have double checked before I told you.

I think mine is ok lol, I ended up cutting around it on the trim and RVLoader seems to recognize it after booting.

Hopefully it should still be fine at this point.

With that being said, how do I edit my time and date settings so that it can start tracking the real time lmfao

I think relocating Bluetooth and going to the wii menu settings is the only way to do that. I tried wiring the battery up at the default time which was 9:44, but that hardly worked.

OOF, I am not trying to do that rn. Seems like an issue for another time lmao

Do you think editing system date/time will be a feature added to the next revision of RVLoader? I'd rather not have to fight wiring bluetooth up because I have no intention of ever using it.

You can wire the coin cell and hope the time it goes too is close enough to real time, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth it unless you are big on animal crossing, and using the portable as a clock. I’m not sure if Rvloader is planned to be changed to do that, but it might happen.

Only want it for SNES and N64 VC games, and so I don't have to keep scrolling for my most recent save file in Baten Kaitos Origins. Not even remotely interested in Animal Crossing. At least not currently.
