I’ve ordered myself a PSPi 6 board with the intent of assembling it with a CM4 inside. But the thermal solution has me puzzled. If you don’t know, given solution is a thermal pad that sticks the CPU of the Pi onto the main board.

I might be missing something, but I’m pretty sure that’s not a solution? Isn’t the heat still going to be trapped inside the case? Or does the distribution somehow allow it to adequately cool down regardless?

And I guess my other question is whether or not it matters for the health of the pi. I know the CM4 can throttle itself to prevent overheating, but I also read somewhere that using a CM5 without cooling (which I know runs much hotter) can damage its lifespan. Is it the same for the CM4?
