I need a fan for my portable Wii. I already have a compact heatsink which used to be a CPU cooler before I cut it down to size with a hacksaw. The best fit is a blower fan about 10mm thick and no longer than 45mm (40mm would be ideal). The issue is I want something very quiet. I can find something appropriate on Digikey, but shipping starts at $20, which is more than the cost of the fan itself. I can find appropriately sized blower fans elsewhere, but they all have a speed of 6500 RPM or higher. I want something between 3500 and 4500. Does anyone know where else I could buy such a fan (without having to order hundreds of them).
I'm aware Digikey has free shipping shipping on orders of $100 or more, but I don't need anywhere near $100 worth of parts. I also know I can run a fan at a lower voltage, but brushless motors seem to have rather limited working ranges, so I don't know how much slower I could make one run. I have found a 6500 RPM fan on Aliexpress that claims to be 23dBA, but I don't believe that figure. After looking up the datasheet from the manufacturer's website, it looks like they took the figure from the lowest amp variant of a series of fans (I can't find the lower amp versions for sale).
