No I didn't trim the wii I bought it on Aliexpress with YPBPR as my video option.

Well you could still try if VGA was enabled, enabling VGA does not disable AV so if the seller was smart he should have just enabled it.
And if that does not work instead of buying a new driver board, a cheaper option would be to get just a cheap AV converter or buy an old used monitor
