Hello all. I was removing the 2 ICs on the Ps2 79001 model for the advanced trim when I noticed this unsightly beast of a scratch. I really hope this doesn't cause shorts but I'm not sure. What do you guys think

I think you should be fine just make sure all these vias are connected since you cut thru some of them. You could use 34 awg magnet wire to solder the vias back.

A little bit tricky to tell with the glare on the board in the photos, but that bundle of three traces on the right and the third trace off that IC package definitely need to be repaired. You' ll have to test the other ones with a multimeter, but there's a good chance your just scraped the soldermask off and the copper is still intact.

Pretty unlikely but if they're high-speed traces that are impedance matched, its possible that you removed some copper thickness and messed up the impedance which could cause weird issues if the device boots, but the only way to really tell if to boot it up and give it a try.

Just bought the 34 awg magnet wire.. I'll start wiring everything and test it out soon. thank you guys for the responses!

I thought about it since I'm using 6 custom regulators and all of them together are too big. Along with the current giving me an issue(I was gonna make another post about that since it's been driving me insane) I think I should just make a board for the 6 of them together
