Hi all, I'm new to this scene and looking to learn more about electronics. I got my hands on a PS2 Slim, model 75002, and I haven't been able to find any guides online on how to trim it. Can anybody offer some insight?

The reason you haven't found guides is there are no guides for the 75002 model of PS2. The trim was designed around the 7900(X) due to it being the one that was able to be trimmed smaller due to component layout and power draw. It was the the last model revision before the big revamp with the 9000(X) series where the PSU went into the case.

Ok, so what should I do? Did I essentially waste money here?

You could use this board in your own case design but won’t be able to trim it using the 79k guide. Can you upload pictures of the motherboard.

It's very dusty. I gave it a bit of a clean with iso alcohol and cotton buds.

I guess so. Though I have no experience with 3D modeling at all so I may end up getting someone to do it for me.
